It’s nearing the end of summer (we hope the weather complies!) so now is a good time to evaluate your tires and think about replacements. Did you know tires have an expiration date and should be replaced regularly regardless of condition or usage? Many collector cars have low usage and owners can forget to replace the tires regularly.
The rubber in tires degrades over time and the dry heat here in California can speed up that process. Unfortunately, we’ve had more than a few cars come in for major repairs after a tire blow out despite the fact that the tire looked brand new or had low miles.
Luckily, none of the accidents came with any major injuries but it’s always best to err on the side of safety and replace your tires regularly!
